September Inspiration - Fall Leaves Ruffle Scarf Pattern

This beautiful fall scarf can be made with or without the edging ruffle. Use whatever ruffle yarn you like; lots of photos are included on how to add it to the scarf.

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This pattern requires you to be able to work in rows and rounds.
  • Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, single crochet 2 together (decrease), double crochet and treble crochet.
  • Knowledge of working with ruffle yarn is an asset, but not necessary; many photos are given for using the ruffle yarn to add the edging ruffle.

Gauge:

With worsted weight yarn: 9 double crochet X 4 double crochet rows = 3 inches square (the gauge is not important)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Length: without ruffle: 66 inches; with ruffle: 70 inches
  • Width (at widest point): without ruffle: 7 inches; with ruffle: 9 inches

Materials:

  • Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn (7oz/198g - 364yds/333m per ball): o245 yds #376/ Burgundy
  • Crochet hook size J/10-6.00mm (for worsted weight yarn.
  • Yarn needle (for working in ends)
  • Optional: oRuffle yarn of your choice with hook recommended on yarn label. : oI used Red Heart Boutique Sashay - Size 6 - (3.5oz / 100 g - 30yds / 27m per ball) 1 ball #1949 / Salsa: with an I/9-5.50mm hook
